Nick is Head of the Future of Money Division at the Bank of England. He is responsible for the Bank’s oversight of Wholesale Cash Distribution, the analysis and forecasting of trends in cash use, and communication with businesses and other groups on bank note usage. He also oversees the economics and strategy aspects of the Bank of England's investigative work on the potential design of a Central Bank Digital Currency. Prior to this Nick was Economic Advisor to the Governor, Andrew Bailey, and he has also worked in the Bank’s financial markets and monetary policy directorates.
