Tom is Director of External Affairs and Public Policy at GoCardless, the global bank payment company. He spends his time understanding and advising on future trends and regulatory developments in payments so GoCardless can build best-in-class products for its 100k+ customers.
Tom’s expertise spans cash, A2A, and cards, as well as new forms of digital money, credit, and financial data products. Prior to GoCardless, Tom held senior roles at Klarna, FTI Consulting, and Barclays.
Tom is a PSR Panel Member and sits on the Vision Engagement Group supporting the delivery of the Government's National Payments Vision. He is also on the Board of the Open Finance Association (OFA) and a former chair of UK Finance’s Digital Policy Committee.
